  2. SHAPETwo-speed duel #7/#3 likely empties fractions; inside stalkers #1 and #2 get a soft setup — speed/rail bias amplifies chalk
  3. CHALKFavorite#1 PADDY HOLIDAY · solid · inside post, stalker style, bias-perfect setup, consistent figs in class
  4. LEANWinner call#1 PADDY HOLIDAY · solid chalk, correct shape beneficiary
  5. PRIMED#6 AU CONTRAIRE (rising_figs, 3rd_start_cycle, trouble_last, led_last, top_e1) — path severely compromised by post 6 and raw figs in the teens
  6. PRICEno price (no non-chalk overlay; #6 flags do not offset substandard figures and outside post against a rail bias)
  7. PLAYPrice ticketPASS — only overlay candidate is chalk; #6's figure profile disqualifies her as a win ticket at any price
  8. KILLDuel fails to materialize (#7 clears uncontested from post 7 — unlikely given rail bias but possible); #6 somehow gets cover and a rails-in trip; surface moisture shifts the bias
  9. MISSINGlive tote, official scratches post-ingest, weather/track condition update, any rider changes

Why

Woodbine dirt sprint at the maiden optional claiming level draws a small, noisy seven-horse field where pace shape dominates and the bias strongly favors early speed from inside posts. A two-horse speed duel (#7 vs #3) is the projected shape, which sets up the stalkers sitting second flight — the chalk #1 PADDY HOLIDAY (2.5 ML, post 1, inside rail) is the most natural beneficiary, but at 2.5 there is no price. The lone primed horse is #6 AU CONTRAIRE at 20-1, carrying five ready flags (rising figs, third-start cycle, trouble last, led last, top e1 in field), though her raw figs are deeply substandard (last fig 16) and she is sitting outside post 6 against a speed-and-inside bias, making the path ugly despite the flags.

Price / ready board

Price overlays skip the favorite (shortest ML, or under 3-1). Ready flags are PP patterns — not a win % and not a proven ROI. Pace + drop is unique top last pace into a class drop. PD same · not fig skips a trip change and the unique top last speed fig.
