BOURBON STATE settled in behind the leaders along the rail switching out off the fence on the first turn, stalked the pace from off the rail, was put to urging in upper stretch, had room between foes nearing the sixteenth pole making a bid, dueled late and dug in to get the nod. IF I WERE YOU shifted in early, stalked the leaders saving ground on the far turn, bid inside past mid-stretch, dueled late but was outfinished and just missed. STONE COLD FLEX bumped a foe after the start, was forced wide into the first turn racing outside foes five to six deep, stalked from outside up the backstretch, took slightly closer order on the far turn four to five wide in range of the leader, was under urging by the quarter pole having lost a little ground, finished well to gain mildly on the top ones but was not enough. FINAL DRAMA quickly moved clear and shifted in to the two path, set the pace, was headed at the half, fought back to retake a narrow lead then was headed again past the three-eighths, dueled around the far turn, put away the sparring partner to be in command in the stretch, was overtaken by inside foes past the sixteenth pole and outfinished. ZEE FIRE had forward position stalking the leaders three to four wide in hand, moved out

MR. PENNY PINCHER moved to the fore past the gap after the opening three-sixteenths to set the tempo up the backstretch from inside, was challenged and encouraged along passing the five-sixteenths, turned away that rival kicking clear in upper stretch, held safe. ICELANDER switched out off the inside early trailing from outside up the backstretch, advanced on the turn three to four wide under encouragement past the five-sixteenths, came into upper stretch six deep, kept on but was only second best. IMPACTO stalked from outside, moved closer to press on the turn, was urged along past the five-sixteenths, made a brief mild bid near the quarter pole but was promptly rebuffed, continued to chase the winner through the stretch but was no match and lost place late. TAPIRS VALOR settled off the pace, raced inside into the turn coming out off the fence on that bend, swung seven deep into upper stretch, was never a threat. SKYLOFT had a brief early lead then pressed the new leader two to three wide, dropped back between foes and chased from off the rail on the turn, failed to rally. SAM STORMY was encouraged along three furlongs out but made no bid.

THE PALACE GIRL (GER) broke a step slowly, settled at the back off the inside, fanned eight wide into upper stretch, surged to a narrow lead then held. POP ART shifted in early stalking up close from outside, took closer order still in hand to press the pacesetter, bid at the top of the stretch taking a narrow lead, was overtaken just past the sixteenth pole but kept on gamely and held the place. CELTIC MOTIF (IRE) was in just a bit tight early shuffling back from between foes, stalked from near mid-division three to four wide, angled nine wide for the drive, gained steadily outside but too late. VRONTI (GB) came in a bit early moving nearer the fence, stalked near the inside up close to the leaders, moved out three wide leaving the far turn, ran on evenly. REALITY STAR broke a step slowly, was caught outside foes four wide, advanced into the far turn, evened out in the stretch. QUEEN DANCING (GB) steadied on heels when in tight early, settled off the pace two to four wide, came into upper stretch five deep and ran on. SPINNING CLASS pursued from on or just off the rail mid-pack saving ground but was one-paced and went evenly. MONEY TRAIL was off the pace inside early, was off the rail through the far turn, failed to menace. THAMES moved to the early lead shifting in to set the pace inside, steadily weakened in the stretch. BLACK DARTER was forwardly-placed
