Why

Turf route at 1870y in a $75k non-graded stakes, nine-runner field, moderate volatility given the lone-speed map, outside posts, and two primed closers whose paths depend on pace collapse. #1 Long Ago projects as lone speed from post 1 with a rail bias and inside speed trend favoring early types, making Scenario A the dominant flow and making the closers' task genuinely hard unless a presser materializes. #8 Awesomesauce is the most compelling primed price: rising figs (83→91, +8), third start of the cycle, a hidden-pace flag (LP 88 while finishing 8th at Saratoga), same trip, and a positive-ROI trainer — but post 8 on an inside-rail-biased track is a structural problem for a closer, and at 10-1 ML the model shows no overlay.
