LAST MOVE prompted the pace onto the backstretch, moved up to take command three wide nearing the half mile pole, responded when challenged at the quarter pole to kick away in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong to be outfinished late. MELLY B. GOOD was a bit slow into stride to be the trailer, remained at the rear until mid-stretch and showed some late interest while never posing a threat. OLD FASHIONED GIRL rated in mid-pack on the outside of the tightly bunced field chasing the distant pacesetter, narrowed the margin whil caught wide on the far turn in an early drive and finished evenly lacking a closing kick. CLAIRE'S DARLING set the pace on clear lead through the first turn, widened that advantage down the backside, held the margin through the final bend, fought-on to mid-stretch and gave way in the final furlong.
