BOOMING BERNARDO broke alertly, contested the early pace three wide and between foes, dueled outside of PONDEROSA into the turn, pressed the pace to the quarter pole then battled to upper stretch, took a narrow lead leaving the furlong marker and met the bid of CROWN PROSECUTOR into the final sixteenth, was turned away in deep stretch and held clearly for second. COME HOME vied for the early lead from between rivals, took back into the turn, angled to the rail nearing the top of the stretch then re-bid at the furlong pole, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for third.
