WEST IS WEST tracked three-wide to the far turn, made a mild bid, then faltered in the stretch. KING OF THE DISCO settled at the back of the compact field through the early stages, then struggled to keep up as the pace quickened, but did manage to improve a position. CANCUN NATIVE pressed the early pace three-wide, took command passing the quarter pole, opened up in upper stretch but could not hold off the rally of the winner in the final yards while finishing well clear of the next horse. CHICK COMMAND contested the early pace from between horses briefly went on with CANCUN NATIVE from the quarter poe into the stretch but could not keep up late but managed to save third. G DAWG took a light bump from the inside rival at the start, then settled in the back through the early stages, then started to run on through the turn, came about six or seven wide into the stretch and sustained the run to improve position while never a serious threat to the top pair. UKRAINE STRONG raced mid-pack down the backstretch, steadied going into the turn, dropped to least, then came back on in the stretch to improve position. MACNAMARA was off a bit awkwardly, saved ground to no avail and lacked a rally. EXCESSIVE THIEVERY raced mid-pack three-wide, made a mild forward move late on the turn but flattened out. BEAU'S CHARM pulled to the lead while a bit rank, had to rivals pressing the issue to the outside to the tun, then, gave way before the quarter pole and stopped to a walk in the stretch, and eased up across the finish line. LOGICAL MYTH was outpaced to the first turn, settled mid-pack inside through the early stages moved out to the two-path on the far turn, then launched a bid from the five-sixteenths marker, came four-wide into the stretch and finished well to move up into third. SEVENTEEN BLACK was held up in last position through the first half, but was pulling hard on the rider, moved up some while under a ride through the far turn, but flattened in the stretch and was unable to threaten. FORT LANGLEY raced in mid-pack towards the inside, swung out to the four path for the stretch run and found best stride late, chased the leader in deep stretch, but had to settle for second with a big gap to the next finisher. OUTOFQUEMADO was outpaced and raced her the back of the main pack in down the backstretch, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, kept to the inside and finished up to oufinished the rest of the field to grab the minor award well behind the top two. RONAMO was very slow into stride despite the efforts of the rider, dropped far back early, then rallied late to pass over half the field in the stretch to improve. MOUNT ASGARD was very wide throughout, trailed the main pack down the backretch, then came six-wide into the stretch and was mildly gaining. OUR BOLD PRINCE tracked mid-pack but out in the five or six path, advanced on the turn still very wide, then flattened out a bit in deep stretch. MISTER K was initially in the early pace mix, then backed off before the half and steadily retreated through the turn, then lacked a finish but passed a few tired rivals in the late stages. ROPER vied inside of the early pace battle, dropped out at the half, then had little to offer late. OUR BLOKE broke well and got involved in the early pace, went ahead of the rest to duel outside of ROPER going into the turn, was joined by GREAT KING (FR) on the turn as the former dropped out, was competitive to the top of the stretch, then weakened and faded. XTREME MAYHEM got shuffled back after the start, then rushed up the inside to join the early fray, was prominent to the top of the stretch, then tired. BIG DON'S SMILING dwelt at the start, spotted the rest of the field a huge head start and trailed far back throughout. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START OF #7 BIG DON'S SMILING. AFTER A REVIEW IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HORSE WAS GIVEN A FAIR START AND CAUSED ITS OWN PROBLEM. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
