O K ROSE laid well off the pace on the inside in the early going, gained along the fence on the far turn, chased in range at the eighth pole but could only get up for second. MISS MEAGHER (IRE) settled next to the rail, closed into range on the far turn, shifted to the two path at the quarter pole, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more. MIYAKO cleared quickly and opened up a big lead early, continued well clear into the far turn, held a diminishing lead turning for home, was overtaken in upper stretch and flattened to fourth between rivals. CROSSANNA trailed the field in the opening stages on the inside, stayed on the fence through the far turn, steered out in the lane and improved position. DORIE MILLER raced outside a rival near the back of the pack, asked two wide on the far turn, swung out into the lane and improved position.
