DOCS LEGEND was allowed to settle from the start, secured an inside position along the rail and was under some restraint racing in mid-pack, ranged up approaching the five-sixteenths marker then was the outside horse in a three-way battle down the stretch, was racing head-to-head with LUCKY FOR LIFE in the final yards, then jumped tracks about 40 feet from the wire and lost the rider after crossing the finish line. DYNAMIC VICTORY was hustled from the outside post intent on getting to the lead, went clear of the field coming out of the first turn, led the way to mid-stretch, then weakened after briefly battling between rivals. JOLLY MON raced in the middle of the pack, then lacked a finish. NATIONAL PUNCHLINE was the back marker from the start and never fired. O G MR. BRIGHTSIDE was off awkwardly, then settled near the rear with only one rival behind, angled out five-wide at the top of the stretch but did not rally. GAME MAKER (IRE) broke a bit awkwardly, then moved up into the pace mix, pulled even with LIFE'S ONE going into the turn, then responded when set down in the stretch, chased BOZAANO through the final stages, but could not close the gap and had to settle for second. LIFE'S ONE broke out at the start and took the path from UNION SWAG, made the early lead, dug in under threat late on the turn, battled gamely to mid-stretch, then weakened in the final yards. BITOFJUSTICE was close up three-wide through the early stages, then did not quicken with the leaders late on the turn, lost some ground, went five-wide into the stretch, was kept to task and came back on in the final furlong but too late to threaten. UNION SWAG got bumped off stride at the start from LIFE'S ONE on the inside, advanced down the backstretch and through the turn to loom four-wide at the top of the stretch, then flattened out a bit under strong handling and urging. PREDECESSOR dropped to mid-pack after a level start, raced very wide throughout, was under a ride on the turn, came about eight wide into the lane, encountered traffic at the top of the stretch, angled inside but lacked a meaningful finish. BUSTIN' BOULDERS took a bump from NOBLE SOUL at the start, raced close up but under a ride to the turn, started to lose ground and was outrun the rest of the way. NOBLE SOUL broke out and bumped the outside rival, was racing close up behind the pace but was hard to place and steadied repeatedly in traffic before the turn, had more traffic issues through the turn, then did not respond when asked to go on once clear in the stretch. SPIRIT OF AKRON settled in a forward position after a good start, tracked the leaders to late on the turn, then bid for the lead four-wide at the top of the stretch, dueled gamely with AINT NO BANDLEADER to the wire and just missed in a good effort. AUTHENTIC COWTOWN tracked in the middle of the main pack towards the inside, was boxed in on the turn, then ran on well when clear in the stretch, was slowly gaining, but ran out of time. GOLDSTRIKER lacked any early speed, trailed well behind early, started to run on through the turn, angled out eight-wide into the stretch, and improved. CONDEMNATION was last to break and then moved up to bid for the lead at the half under an aggressive ride, dueled inside through the turn, then weakened in the stretch. THE PINK Z broke best, raced close up four-wide to the turn, dropped back late on the turn, and had little to offer in the stretch. INTO GOLD was a little slow into stride and under an early drive, struggled to keep pace through the turn, then swung seven-wide into the stretch and tired. GHOST OF LONDYN dropped back after an even start, launched a four-wide bid approaching the three-furlong pole but could not sustain inti the stretch and faltered. ILIKETHAT was sent hard to grab the early lead, then was joined by CONDEMNATION up the inside at the half-mile pole, dueled that rival through the turn, then weakened in upper stretch. DEW IT WITH CLASS off a step slow, then moved up into the early pace mix, dueled with VECCHI into the turn, gained a narrow advantage near the quarter pole, then had to deal with a challenge from GRAY TORMENTOR at the top of the stretch, had no answer to that rival and weakened in the late stages. RAMSEY chased the main pack early with only one horse behind, swung out five-wide for the stretch run, and produced a steady rally to get up for second.
